Atlantic Institute's first "Annual Review" is published
The Atlantic Institute’s first “Annual Review” is a descriptive account of a year in which Atlantic Fellows, program staff and their communities met and addressed significant challenges. It covers the financial year (July 2019 - July 2020), so features in-person events, as well as the pivot to virtual events aimed at providing support and learning opportunities during the pandemic.

Solidarity grants to protect communities during COVID-19
In response to the COVID-19 pandemic, Atlantic Fellows are carrying out projects designed to minimize the impact of COVID-19 on endangered and vulnerable communities worldwide. As from April 2020, more than 70 Fellows successfully applied for a total of 57 Solidarity Grants – short-term, rapid response funding from the Atlantic Institute.

What should leaders be doing to tackle systemic and institutional racism in the long term? In this webinar, hosted by the Atlantic Institute, speakers discussed a range of subjects: from public participatory budgets to changing systems built to favour white people over people of color, to standing up for Black girls who’ve been subjected to, or are at risk, of female genital mutilation.
