Fellows in focus

Over the past year, we followed eight Fellows from the global Atlantic community as they went about their daily work in the pursuit of equity. Whether providing inspiration from the dentist’s chair in Memphis, Tennessee or teaching South Africa’s youth the songs of heritage in South Africa, all eight films focus on the will and determination of individual Atlantic Fellows to create fairer, healthier, more equal societies.

Reflections on COVID-19

Atlantic Fellows are from all walks of life and professions, based in countries worldwide. In these ‘video selfies’, they reflect on the huge impact that COVID-19 has had on their work and the communities they serve.

Thematic forum in Jordan - October 2019

Some 25 Atlantic Fellows, program leaders and staff explored the topic of displacement by visiting refugee camps, local Jordanian universities, government officials, offices of the United Nations and foundations in Jordan.

Inaugural Global Convening for Senior Fellows

For four days in October 2019, 130 Senior Fellows from all seven programs gathered at the inaugural Global Convening at Rhodes House, Oxford. Coordinated by the Atlantic Institute, Fellows connected with one another, listened to speakers, and enjoyed the cultural mix of music, dance and poetry provided by this diverse community. It was also a chance to recognize work that is emblematic of the vision and values of the Atlantic community in the Atlantic Senior Fellows Awards ceremony.
